Xbox Live connection help?

I use a wireless "LOS" based DSL. My bandwidth package is 1.5Mbs down and .5up; I have double checked the required bandwidth for xbox live service and I have more than enough. My router and firewall is set to allow all incoming and outgoing activity and all ports are unblocked. I have also tried a direct connection to the modem with no effect. I can only sign into xbox live, but I can’t find or join any games. My xbox either freezes or says it cant connect. I have ran the test on the xbox itself and it says its connected with an Open NAT. I cant get any other land based provider (SBC, Cable, etc..) I also have satellite and it works fine on it but it has a extremely high ping and that really not good for games. And I have xbox live gold so I know my account is authorized to play games. Anybody have any ideas what could be wrong?

have you tried to clear the xbox 360 hd cache, because sometimes it causes the system to freeze and also the xbox 360 NXE dashboard takes a long time to load and sometimes it freezes at one point and then goes normal again. I have a gamertag if you want it, send me a message and maybe i can help you fix your problem your internet seems sufficent enough to run it has open NAT, Do you have a xbox 360 wireless adapter or a different kind attached to the xbox 360 because i heard only the xbox 360 wireless adapter works with the xbox. Well if you need more help send me a message with your gamertag and i might be able to help you.
